Free edition

HomepageSearchEngine Free edition is Freeware, which means it can be used for free. In the feature list of the licensed standard version (Plus edition) you can see which features are

• also available in the Free edition

In the main, the Free edition is similar to the Plus edition, with the following limitations:

• The search engine cannot be called from another page. But, you can use your own search form instead of the prebuilt one.
• Default content of the results pages cannot be changed.
• On the search page, the HomepageSearchEngine Logo will be displayed.
• These features are not available: "URL Inspector", dynamic templates, categories, searching of Non-HTML files.
• No support guaranteed (although given nevertheless, in most cases).

As described on the Download Page, the downloaded program package will be converted from the Pro Trial into the Free edition by filing an additionally downloadable Free HSE key (included in key_HSE-Free.zip - 1 KB small).
